This inspirational story is of a male child from London who at the tender age of four and a half years got diagnosed with Autism. His parents brought him all the way to us in India for treatment. His mother had a normal delivery while giving birth to him but went into labour for an extended period of time. Usually a new born baby cries right after birth, but in his case it was just the opposite. He was kept under the incubator for the first five days. Till the age of two and half years, he was pretty much like a normal child and was quite intelligent. Slowly with time, his parents observed growing changes in him. He was unable to interact well with people around him and his speech was impacted greatly.
His parents finally decided to show him to a psychiatrist who declared that their son had autism. It was a big blow for his parents. But that did not dither them to give up on him. They started sending him to a normal school with a shadow teacher to watch over him. After he reached the age of 6 ½ years, his parents sent him to a special school where he underwent therapy and speech therapy once in a week. Their concern for their child reflected in the way they tried every possible option. It was during these trying times, his mother heard about Stem Cell Therapy for Autism. She immediately contacted NeuroGen Brain and Spine Institute to learn more. That is when we came into the picture.
Patient’s Life after NeuroGen Stem Cell Therapy
They flew to India towards September last week 2013. The child got admitted on 30th of September 2013. His parents were beyond happy seeing his improved condition. There was a great deal of improvement seen in his perceptual and cognitive skills- his eye contact was more focused as well as his level of concentration and his awareness level were improved. For five whole years, his parents were trying to teach him to swing independently, and it was wonderful to see him responding naturally. A large part of his sensory problems, social interaction, communication, and activities of daily living improved unbelievably after the therapy.
How has it impacted the life of those around him?
His parents were most delighted seeing the changes in him. It was an extremely emotional and happy sight to watch him take his first steps towards ice skating and swimming. Much to their surprise, he was able to able to do colour sequencing including other things he couldn’t do before. As a family, they have grown a lot stronger from this whole path of pain that is leading them to a much happier place now!
